Remember me telling you about my first job interview in 9 years? They (3 people) kept grilling me with questions, and I (though not failing to answer and even getting a few laughs out of them) had absolutely no idea how it went. I kept wondering what they thought about me, if I even stood a chance in becoming a 'management assistant'. Sounds quite pompous to me :D

But.. yesterday they called again and invited me to a second (and last) round! :) I'll be reporting back to you on the 24th ;)

Spain: well deserved, congratulations. Germany: guess we'll wait for South Africa ;)

In general: it's over *sad face* I'm not used to 'normal' TV anymore.

omg, just got a call: my first job interview in 10 years! Wed next week - and I'm already nervous. What to wear?? It's an office job in a model house company in our town.

Will do a proper research for said company over the weekend, and ask my neighbour who happens to know the woman whose job I might cover during her parental leave. So maybe I'll gather additional knowledge 'from the inside'. Gotta love my neighbour :) She's the one who knocked on my door, daily newspaper in hand, and pointed that ad out in the first place.

Also: has been my first e-mail application, complete with PDF files and all. Nice to know that went smooth ;)

.. as *drip* as *drip* can be..

No, I'm not actually dripping anymore - towelled myself off, washed my dirty feet and took the blow dryer to my hair. But.. WTF, weather? It's still flashing and grumbling out there.. started around six this evening!

I just wanted to have a few pints at my beloved Irish Pub, and meet with a dear friend I haven't seen in a while. Benefits of not-working ;) I managed to get those pints in, though.. and am now aware of an event taking place in September: Irish Pub Birthday Party! The 25th, actually.. yes, I know, it's a bit late. But: said friend and husband are doing the live music, so yay :)

Now, I'm not rambling.. just a shout-out to the world: I'm still alive :D What about you? ;)


Edit: Actually, it'll be the 23rd b-day, or so I'm told. Never believe the owner's word.. *silly grin*

Idol: There hasn't really been any doubt that he'll win - but: yay, Thomas! When second-place sweetie shed a tear, my heart melted.. but I'm sure he'll make his way, too. You had to love him - he's got a great voice and he's married to a man ;)


In other news: thanks to sweetzattack, I now am the proud owner of some biiig bookshelves :) I was planning for quite some time, but never got around to actually getting them. 'Why not tomorrow?', she said - and off we were the next day. Buying, assembling, cleaning up, fetching six huge cases (!) from Mom and sorting through them - all done in one afternoon. And she even managed to stop me from leafing through all my long-missed favourites when they came out of the boxes. Thanks, luv ♥

So, my bed is now surrounded by books - makes for a happy chick :)

.. looking for a new job. But I got distracted by this and that and pretty much everything I read on my f-list.

In fact, since I organized all I can atm (got papers ready, phoned the appropriate places), there's not much I can do while waiting for those-forms-wot-need-to-be-filled-out to arrive. I feel now's the time to change something, find a new line of work.. but I'm at a loss deciding on anything specific.

Maybe I should just rest for a few days - now that all goodbyes have been said (with chocolate, a cake and a book store gift coupon from my workmates ♥) and I'm actually off - and wait for inspiration?

Those who know me are aware that for the past 8 years, the free ads paper I work for was my baby.

Today I got told that I won't live up to 9 years there. They have to cut a full-timer. I've got 3 months left, but I'm on release, and I'll get compensation. That's it for the 'positive'.

The paper my baby - the workmates my family. Talked on the phone for hours to some of them and had some Jack-Cola.

Sorry, nothing coherent here - I'm still in shock.

Today, weather being nice and all, there was an experiment: me and Mom out for a shopping day. Hasn't happened in years.

In other news: it's time for our Idol version again. First show today - and the head judge already announced a favourite. Well done, because this guy's just great! I've got a feeling he doesn't need to win (and be forgotten soon after) to make his way.

And: have I told you that I'm FREE? Two weeks of no work, just fun! Been a while - usually I take just a few days off. Appropriate celebrating will follow on Monday, of course. I'm very well inclined to live up to the rule and drink until I'm Irish :)
